FAQ

The most frequently asked questions

Can I book you?

Yes, but no. You can send a request via the contact form. I can't say for sure in advance whether it will work out.

What do I get after a shoot and what can I do with it?

You get the photos in full resolution, any rights of use come into force if both are satisfied with the results and of course only if the respective photos are known beforehand. I let you take the lead on most of the photos, I only use a very small percentage of what you get from me.

In addition, the photos are backed up for you for quite a while. After 6 months most of the photos are deleted, including the RAW files, and of course you only get final versions of the photos. I don't give out raw material, because my style of editing is just as much a part of it for me as triggering the exposure.you can basically use the photos for anything you like. Whether private or commercial. You can post them, have them printed or just have a look on your cell phone from time to time to see what came out of the shoot.

As mentioned, I use some of the photos for myself at the same time. In other words, I use them on my Instagram/500px profiles and here on the page. This serves no deeper purpose than to show what I do, what I can do and, above all, what I see. I don't market the photos and I don't earn anything other than feedback for my work.

Can I use your photos?

Basically, no at first. My photos are my work, if you want to use them please contact me via the form or directly by e-mail.  Alternatively, you should read through the terms of use. However, if we have already taken photos together, everything we have discussed clearly applies.
This also includes mutual consent to use the photos online. In short: If you're in the photo, do what you want with it. If you're not, don't use my photos without my written permission.

How much does a shoot cost me?

Above all, a good character and to be on the same level as me.

Do you sell your photos as prints?

You can get my individual photos as prints (1:1, 40x40cm). But I don't sell them.

Can you photograph me?

Basically yes, it all depends on what you want and how you are. And ideally you already know my work so that we can start directly with the subject you have in mind... It's best to write to me directly about what you have in mind in terms of content.

You photographed me once, but I don't want to be seen on your site.

Although this is not a question, it is a sentence that occurs frequently.
I start every shooting with a discussion about the rights and obligations of both sides (photographer & model) - which includes that I want to use the resulting photos for my site - it can of course happen that you would rather not present yourself online. That is no problem at all.
If there is a photo of you on my site that should be removed please write to me directly by clicking HERE and telling me “who” you are.
And, if this is the case, I am sorry and it will be removed as soon as possible (within 48 hours at the latest) and no further material where you can be seen will end up on my page in the future. However, your rights of use to the photos will also expire and they must be removed from your profiles (e.g. social media) within the same period.

Are you a professional photographer?

Even though I learned the profession of photographer in a classic dual training program and photography is the most important element in my life and my mental fitness, I am not a professional photographer. I do all the work I do for one main reason: because I feel like it.

Can people get your presets?

I have created more than 400 presets over the years. Some are available in different versions for various applications and camera models as well as for different lighting conditions or camera settings. I don't think much of presets myself, especially if you use ones that you haven't created yourself.

I think spreading presets is destroying both the quality and general market of the photography world by showing too many people what something should look like. And the perhaps even individual look of a photographer with presets does not help a buyer of these skills.

Especially since most presets assume that you work exactly like the provider, apart from that I think it should also remain somewhere my “trade secret” how exactly I edit my photos.

In short: No, I don't offer presets.
